I'm D. I've been a student and practitioner of witchcraft for over 30 years. Like many of you, I've learned from books, sitting alone with someone's text in front of me, wondering, "Did I do it right?"

I've been the hesitant newcomer putting their toes into the wider community, attending public circles and classes, meeting people who shared my beliefs - and those who didn't.

I've been fortunate enough to join a circle, to work with like-minded people together and create some of the most beautiful magic I've even experienced. I've also grieved that loss when it ended.

Along the way, I've sought out different tools and information and found nothin usable, nothing that worked.  For example, I love guided meditations. Finding one that worked for me for something as straightforward as a tree meditation was frustrating. So I made my own.

When I was learning more about runes, there wasn't a tool that worked to help with daily practice. Certainly none that helped with casting on the airts. So I built it.

There's a ton of beginner-level books out there to help the seeker find their way. There's a growing library of resources out there for advanced practitioners and specialties. But not a lot of options that worked for people who were on year two of their journey. So I'm writing it.

dmkCraft is the space for me to share with people the tools I built because they didn't exist for me. If they help you, then I'm truly blessed.

dmkCraft's philosophy

dmkCraft is built around the idea that tools should be broadly accessible for seekers. As much as possible, they focus on witchcraft as a craft and not a form of worship or connecting with the divine. While I acknowledge and respect the role of divinity in my personal craft, I also know that my beliefs and practices are far from universal. Focusing on the craft in my shared work allows for broader use for more people.

Beyond that, I hold to the four laws of ecology when making my tools available:

1. Everything is connected to everything else

2. Everything has to come from somewhere

3. Everything has to go somewhere

4. There is no such thing as a free lunch

dmkCraft leverages AI in specific capacities: image generation and app coding.

The logo and backgrounds on this site were generated by AI from original prompts and edited by me for use here.

App development leverages AI to do the bulk of the coding based on my vision for the app and its functions. Craft-specific areas, such as divination layouts, interpretations, and meanings, are coded to my definitions and the meanings are derived from my personal library and experience.

AI is not, and will, not be used to generate written material, meditations, or any original content outside the above areas.

AI is tool that has a great deal of potential for use and misuse. You have the right to know when AI is being used, how it is being used, and determine for yourself if that use is acceptable. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns about AI in dmkCraft.
